PSF invites applications for London International Youth Science Forum (LIYSF) 2016

Pakistan Science Foundation-PSF ( is continuously striving for promotion of science in the youth and motivating them towards Science Education. London International Youth Science Forum (LIYSF) is a two week residential event being organized at Imperial College London each year since 1959 for promotion and popularization of science by assembling hundreds of students from all over the world under one roof. The activities include lectures/demonstrations from leading scientists, visits to industrial sites, research centres, scientific institutions/organizations, world class laboratories and universities. Regular Science Students who have completed their HSSC education are eligible to apply to compete for participation in LIYSF-2016 to be held at Imperial College, London UK on 27 July-10 August, 2016.

  • Interested students having date of birth between 23rd January 1994 to 6th February 2000 and completed their HSSC/equivalent education (science) with 1st Division may send their hand written applications on prescribed Proforma available on PSF website (
  • The applicant must be a regular science student in a public or private sector (Govt. recognized) institution having proficiency in written and spoken English.
  • Short listed students, after initial screening on the basis of educational qualifications will be called for written test, interview/ presentation at Islamabad.
  • 4 students will be selected for LIYSF-2016.
  • PSF will bear the expenditure of registration fee. The air ticket and other charges have to be borne by the selected students.Accommodation and local hospitality will be provided by the organizers.
  • No TA/DA will be provided to the students appearing for test/interview at Islamabad.

Last date of receipt of the applications is 16th May, 2016. Incomplete applications or received after due date will not be entertained. Please contact the undersigned for any query or further details.
