The promotion of Science is a major objective of PSF. The Foundation executes several activities for the achievement of this objective; such as:
Research Support :
The Promotion of Scientific Research and related activities is the major objective of Pakistan Science Foundation, which provides funding for research projects in different areas.
Institutional Support :
PSF assists the universities and research institutions by providing them Institutional Support Grants for the purchase of equipment, chemicals, literature etc.
Travel Grants:
Under the Travel Grant programme, grants are provided to scientists, technologists and doctors on account of their travel expenses for their participation and presentation of research papers in international conferences, seminars, workshops and short term specialized trainings abroad.
Grants to Scientific Societies:
PSF provides grants-in-aid to scientific societies and learned bodies for their activities to promote science and technology in the country.
Grants for Science Conferences:
PSF provides partial financial assistance to Universities and R&D Organizations for organizing Science Conferences, Seminars, Workshops and Symposia etc.
Grants for Scientific Journals:
Provision of grants for publication of Scientific Journals is another activity of the Foundation. Funds are made available to Scientific Societies, universities and R&D organizations for publication of latest research findings of the scientists in their respective journals for dissemination to the scientific community.
Awards & Fellowships:
PSF grants Awards to individuals who are engaged in developing processes of economical importance and who make commercial achievements in PSF funded projects to provide incentive for valuable scientific Research. Fellowships are granted to scholars who are enrolled for the degree of M.Phil / PhD.
