Celebration of World Science Day for Peace and Development (WSDPD) on November 10 each year has become a regular programme of the Foundation. World Science Day was proclaimed by UNESCO in the year 2001, since then the Foundation in collaboration with the Ministry of Science & Technology and UNESCO is celebrating Science Day and organizes various activities like, Convention of Scientists, Speech Competition among students and Science Exhibitions.

On the occasion of “ World Science Day for Peace and Development (WSDPD), Pakistan Science Foundation has organized a Poster Contest on “Mathematics/ Geometry in Nature in collaboration with Federal Directorate of Education, Islamabad on 10 th Nov, 2007 at F.G. Girls Model School, G-6/2, Islamabad. Fifty two students of Federal Government Schools and of Private School System, the Beconhouse School System and HEADSART Islamabad participated in the contest. On this occasion Science Caravan Federal Unit has arranged Science Caravan Exhibition and Federal Directorate of Education have also displayed their scientific models at the occasion.

Pakistan Science Foundation and MoST in collaboration with UNESCO, organized a Convention of Scientists on November 22, 2007 at Hotel Holiday Inn, Islamabad. Chief Guest, Dr. Ishfaq Ahmad, N.I., H.I., S.I., special Advisor to the Prime Minister addressed the audience. Engr. Parvez Butt, H.I., S.I., Secretary, MoST and Mr. George Sequeira, Director, UNESCO Office, Islamabad also addressed the audience. Dr. Qaisar Mushtaq, Prof. Department of Mathematics, QAU & President, Mathematical Society delivered the speech on the importance of Mathematics. Dr. N.M. Butt, Chairman , Pakistan Science Foundation, said that Science & Technology should be used for the betterment of mankind. Ms. Nabeela Shahid, Mathematics Teacher, Beaconhouse School delivered the speech on Mathematics. The student of Beaconhouse delivered speech on “Why are Students afraid of studying Mathematics”. Award of PSF Medals/Certificates and cash prize money awarded to the winner students of 16 th Inter Board Science Poster and Essay Competition and Poster Competition.
