Linkage with Chinese Institutions

Pakistan and China, the two brotherly neighboring countries, are collaborating with each other in scientific research through their scientific institutions.

PSF & National Natural Science Foundation of China:
PSF and National Natural Science Foundation of China (NNSFC) signed a MoU on 30th of October, 1992 for joint research between Academic Institutions in Pakistan and China. Exchange of scientists, scientific information and materials between research and academic institutions of the two countries is one of prime objectives of this international link. Since this alliance PSF and NNSFC conducted joint scientific research activities pertaining to different disciplines along with efforts for the strengthening cooperation between S & T organizations of both the countries. At present 17th Protocol on S&T Cooperation is being implemented in China and Pakistan. Chinese and Pakistani scientists have visited each other countries in 2012-13 for sharing scientific expertise under this protocol. A MoU has also been signed between PSF and Beijing International Business Incubators, China on 17th of September, 2013 for mutual cooperation to accelerate the commercialization of new and high-tech industries in Pakistan.

PSF & Chinese Academy of Sciences:
PSF has successfully developed joint research ventures with Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), Chinese Appropriate Technology Institute and the Institute of Organic Chemistry, Shanghai. Chinese and 10 Pakistani scientists conducted joint scientific survey of Karakoram Mountains in 1989. Eleven Pakistani scientists attended Pak-China Workshop on Chemical Sciences in China.

Pakistan Museum of Natural History & Beijing Museum of Natural History:
Beijing Museum of Natural History (BMNH), Beijing, China and Pakistan Museum of Natural History, Islamabad, Pakistan, a subsidiary of PSF, have mutually agreed on joint scientific research activities, exchange of scientists, students and collection specimens, sharing of data in the form of publications, information and coordination in exhibits exchange.
