General Guidelines for application of Joint Research projects between Pakistan and Iran
Theme "Translational Research: Innovation from lab to society".
The proposals are invited in the following priority areas for Joint Research Projects;
- Material Sciences and Metallurgy
- Climate Smart Agriculture and Biotechnology
- Economic Utilization of Marine Resources
- Textile Engineering and Value Addition
- Earthquake forecasting services
- Solar Energy and ways of its implementation
- Wind Energy and ways of its implementation
- Water scarcity in close future and its relation to food scarcity
- Air Pollution
- Saving Endangered Species of plants, animals and insects
Additional Notes:
- The duration of projects should not exceed 2-years
- Maximum grant limit would be Rs.1.0 million from Pakistani side (8,000 Euros each side)
- Joint R&D projects must contribute towards development of Technology, Process, Technique, Prototype and have commercial elements for socio-economic development
- Objectives and expected outcomes should be clear and bullet-wise
- Proposals should be submitted on prescribed proforma completed in all respects by providing complete details of joint research work, time and cost
- Two hard copies should be submitted to the Foundation along-with soft copy
- Proposals should be submitted to PSF through proper channel
- Pakistani P.Is will submit proposals to PSF while Iranian scientists will submit proposals to Ministry of Science Research & Technology, Iran
- PSF will provide funding to Pakistani P.I while Iranian scientists will get funding from MSRT, Iran
- No transfer of funds is allowed beyond borders i.e. PSF funds will be utilized in Pakistan while Iranian funds in Iran only
